The Dilemma
How To Make An American Quilt
Sister Act
The Rum Diary
Taxi
Once Upon A Forest
The Tale Of Despereaux
A Team

(ok for some reason it won't actually let me add those to the list right now. it won't load)

SORRY!! (and "The Dilemma")

ok, I will start posting again, most likely just me and not Josh, unless its some new movie we just bought and neither one of us have seen.

I need to add a lot more movies to the list also.

I will blog one movie right now.

The Dilemma:
We seen it on the shelf, neither one of us knew anything about it, but we LOVE Vince Vaughn, and paired with Kevin James, should be funny.  well we were wrong, the few and far between slightly funny spots. weren't worth it... it dragged on and on, and then we actually didn't even finish it, there is probably about 15 mins left that we didn't watch... so... yea. will never watch that again. lol

Super 8

Josh:
Ok, so this is a pretty new one we got the other day. I've heard some good things about it and thought it would be a good one. The story was relatively different than some others I've seen. The overall acting was really good, but the main characters are a group of twelve year olds. There was a cutesy little love story, some action, and then the whole thing was wrapped up in a neat little bow where just about everyone lives and you're supposed to have learned some kind of lesson... well thats the impression I got anyways. I'm really not trying to knock anything but a few things in the plot and the fact that the characters are 12. Overall I did like the movie, it had a lot of potential and I think only lived up to most of it instead of all. I will give them some props on the fact that they hit the nail on the head with what our country would do and that it was a unique idea.

Kelsy:
We had a request to review this one. So that was neat. Also we don't really want to give to much away with this review thingy then. But it was a decent movie, I'd watch it again. The "kids" in the movie, I thought they did a decent job acting. There was a cute little love type story in it. and it was kind of creative how they made it about the kids, instead of just all this stuff happening to adults instead. Well I don't really know what else to say about it without giving to much away, because the movie is like a mystery. its worth a watch, as a friend of mine would say gets your mind cogs moving.

Event Horizon

Kelsy:
Alright this movie was from the bargain bin, no wonder why. Looking at the case, it looks decent, si-fi thriller sort, has a bunch of known people in it, (just from 15 years ago) so why not?

well. it was stupid! and sooooo gross! it was so gory! I haven't seen such a gory movie in a long time, sure your expecting it when you watch something like "Saw" or some other obvious horror flick.

Its about a team of astronauts or what have you, and there is a ship that went into a black hole and disappeared for 7 years. They found where it was and then trying to see if anyone is still on it or possibly what happened to them. The ship is like possessed now, and possesses everyone who goes on it and tries to kill them (anyone ever seen "Ghost Ship"? kinda the sci-fi outer space version...

anywho if your into super cheesy movies, or cheesy horror flicks, go ahead and watch it... I'd rather have my money and my 1 1/2 hours back.

Josh:
Ok, so we picked this up because neither of us have seen it and it had a decent looking cover with a few good names, Lawrence Fishbourne, and that guy from Jurassic park.
I was expecting typical, sci-fi thriller/adventure from the mid nineties...
That definitely wasn't what we got, its different and gory. I really wasn't in the mood for this kind of movie when we watched it, or maybe it was because I wasn't expecting it and it snuck up on me. I was initially grossed out and kinda irritated.
I think this movie really did kinda have something, the effects and filming were good, the acting was good, and I could really see it getting a cult type following. But I definately dont recommend it for a quiet night in bed. The story was a little silly, as far as the ship itself being possessed but other than that I have to give them a thumbs-up, provided you know what your about to watch...ie, people ripping out their own eyes and good stuff like that.
I would say more like a sci-fi/smut/nasty version of Ghost Ship.

So I Married An Ax Murderer

Kelsy:
Earlier in the week I watched this, seen it before a few times, it always makes me laugh. instantly i was text messaging the quotes to people, who just in turned responded with more quotes from the movie. josh was sleeping when i was watching it and i was laughing so much i told him that he had to watch it, turns out he had never seen it!

So I made him watch it and he laughed, Charlie's Dad in the movie (both played by Mike Meyers) is just too funny! The stuff that comes out of his mouth!

This is one of the greatest movies to quote. we have watched it 3 times this week now.

The first half of the movie is better then the second half, it seems to get a little slower. but its worth it. its to funny.

and I love that now Josh just quotes the movie non-stop. :)

I'm can't decide if i want to quote the movie here or not, but that is only because I don't know what to put there all to great.

Harriet: Do you actually like haggis?
Charlie: No, I think it's repellent in every way. In fact, I think most Scottish cuisine is based on a dare.

Josh:
Okay, so I hadnt seen this movie before about a week ago. I always saw the case and figured it was some generic 80s type.
I really loved it though. Mike Meyers does a great job as the main character  and his dad (Stuart).
I agree that it does kinda slow down after the first half of the movie, but its still a good watch. And oddly enough the ending was kind of a twist. I didnt really think the murderer was who it was. So to recap, it was funny and had a little surprise at the end.
Now if I could only figure out two things...
How to get "HEAD! PANTS! NOW!" as my text message alert.
And whether or not it is publicly acceptable to go around stores singing "S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night" and dancing like Stuart...

Wall-E

Kelsy:
LOVE IT. I think its totally adorable. and certain things in it, totally seem like there going to happen... like all the satellite dishes... (not to mention all the trash and shit) everyone getting lazier... this is all going to happen lol

Wall-E and Eve are freakin cute. He just wants to hold her hand!

It doesn't matter who you are, everyone needs to see this one.

Josh:
Its a great movie. I dont think a word is spoken until the last 30 minutes or so, but its really good the whole way through. I definitely see it as being some type of possibility that the world is gonna go to shit and people are going to try and pawn off the clean up on machines while we ride it out in style on a fat farm space ship...
But anyways, Wall-E and Eve are completely adorable and it really makes this movie a great one. Even if it is animated, its still good for adults.

A League Of Thier Own

Kelsy:

Who hasn't seen this one? there isn't even much to say about it, its a classic.
but I will share this gem of a quote by Rosie O'Donnell's character,

"Lets make like a bread truck, and haul buns!"

and always, THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL!

Done!

Kelsy:
I am Finally Finished! with a movie count of 1,298!

I left out all ones that were either music video or tv show series/seasons. I figured those didn't really count... but there is a lot of those too!

Apollo 18

Kelsy:
Last night we watched "Apollo 18"   first of all... we don't really like documentary style movies, so already we didn't have high hopes. I don't want to spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it and want to...

but its unrealistic... (why do they look like rocks? they need camouflage? are there predators there hiding from?) but good for someone to go and make money off the government saying were not going to the moon any more. lol

I didn't really like it, most likely won't watch it again.

Josh:
Ok , so it was my idea to watch this one... It was all downhill from there.
The info on the back of the case seemed interesting. The quality was terrible, well it was supposed to be a "documentary type" movie from like 1967, so that part is to be expected.
It started out okay, maybe with a little potential, but as it went on it just got worse and worse. The actors weren't terrible, but not memorable either. The plot was retarded, freakin space rocks that turn into some kind of scary bug things, fuck you up, and then back into rocks... yea... stupid.
All in all I think it was a total waste. We didnt buy this one though, thankfully we got it from redbox.
Not only do I not want to buy it but I dont want to invest my energy to watch it again either.

Day 2 of the movie list

Kelsy:
ok i can't believe how long i spent on it yesterday. i started to get a little burnt out when i got to the James bond, Halloween, and like star trek ones. there is to many of those. luckily I'm almost out of the "collection" type movies...

Starting The List

Kelsy:
Ok Its Officially Starting, this morning I started the list of movies, I've been typeing them up for hours,  and just got to the "James bond" collection. You have got to be kidding me! wtf why are there soooooo many!
